Today, Ural State University of Economics hosts the last scientific and practical conference timed to the 50th anniversary of the University "Ural – 21st Century: Region of Innovative Development".

November 29, at Ural State University of Economics the composition of the Ural branch of the Free Economic Society of Russia (VEO) has been approved. The USUE Rector Yakov Silin was elected the president of the Ural Branch of the Free Economic Society of Russia and the post of vice-president was taken by Andrei Bessedin, head of the Ural Chamber of Commerce. On the branch are representatives of authorities from the Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk regions.

November 28, Ural State University of Economics was visited by a doctoral student from the Ruhr University (Bochum, Germany) Lisa Grandjean. She visited Universitetsky Technopark of high-end technologies, met with the USUE Rector Yakov Silin, and became acquainted with the exhibits of the USUE Museum.
