Actors heal the soul by their art: USUE held a concert in the hospital for war veterans
November 15, creative teams of the USUE Recreation Center made a concert in the Sverdlovsk Regional Clinical Psychoneurological Hospital for veterans of wars.
The students sang and danced on the stage of the hospital's club for the third time. USUE Vocal Studio, vocal ensemble "Caprice," actors of the Open Studio Theater, participants of the beauty contest "Miss USUE", Staxx dance team and the art project "Diva" presented to all guests positive emotions and good mood.
"We are received here very warmly; the audience loves performances of creative teams. It distracts them from everyday worries. In addition, it is important for the teams to perform before different audiences. Thus, we support patriotic education and make our teams act on various stages," Lyubov Alybina, artistic director of the USUE Recreation Center said.
This time, the spectators were the patients of the hospital. According to Peter Malakhovsky, the club methodist and hospital administration member, they always come to concerts with gratitude and joy. "In this hall actors become doctors - they heal the soul by their art and boost spirits," Peter Malakhovsky said.
Organization of offsite events for veterans of wars has become a good tradition. For example, March 14, 2017, USUE creative groups delighted veterans with a spring concert. Besides, the University holds regular meetings with veterans of the Second World War and Heroes of Russia.
