URAL AND CZECH REPUBLIC: EDUCATION TRANSCENDS BOUNDARIES

USUE   Rector Yakov Silin within the delegation of Sverdlovsk Oblast took part in the Forum of Partner Regions of the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.   Lyudmila Babushkina,   the Chairperson of the Legislative Assembly of Sverdlovsk Oblast, met with    Ivana Stráská, Governor of the South Bohemian Region. The leaders discussed the implementation of existing agreements on cooperation and the development of interregional partnership.

"The relations between our regions continue to gain momentum, including thanks to your, Ms. Stráská, visit in November 2017 to Sverdlovsk Oblast. Today, Sverdlovsk universities successfully cooperate with higher educational institutions of the South Bohemian Region. An agreement has been concluded with the University of South Bohemia, as well as an agreement on scientific and educational cooperation and academic exchange with the College of European and Regional Studies in ?eské Bud?jovice. Ural State University of Economics, within the framework of the signed agreement with the Institute of Business and Technology in ?eské Bud?jovice, develops joint training programs and shares best practices," Lyudmila Babushkina emphasized.

The Chairperson of the Legislative Assembly of Sverdlovsk Oblast noted that an interparliamentary cooperation deserves special attention.

"For us, it is of interest to share experience in law-making activities and building direct contacts between the deputy corps of the Middle Urals and the South Bohemian Region, as well as exchange of delegations of deputies. We will be happy if you support this initiative, Ms. Stráská," Lyudmila Babushkina said.
