USUE students visited the Reception House for Honorary guests nor and met with officials of the Foreign Ministry in Yekaterinburg

Late November, the USUE students of VED-17-1 and VED -17-2 groups, as part of  the course "Introduction to economics and organization of research" (lecturer – A. Linetsky, professor, the Department of International Business), visited the residence of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk region and Reception House for  Honorary Guests – Sevastyanov’s House.

During the tour, students plunged into the rich history of the Sevastyanov’s House and the House of Reception for Honorary Guests created on its base, which was opened in 2009 during the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) held in Yekaterinburg. The students visited modern halls and rooms for official ceremonies, meetings, and negotiations with foreign partners. It was a good opportunity to get an idea of ??how important state and diplomatic events are prepared and to feel the climate and atmosphere of their holding.

Earlier, in the USUE Blue Hall, there was a meeting with the acting spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Yekaterinburg Ramil Shamsutdinov. The students became acquainted with the goals, tasks, and functions of the Representative Office. The guest answered all questions asked by future specialists in the foreign economic sphere.

The event was attended by the staff members of the Department of International Business, chaired by V. Kovalev.
