«VEO’s confidence results from our work»
Ural State University of Economics hosted a ceremony of presenting certificates of honor from the Free Economic Society of Russia to employees and students of USUE. They were noted for their active participation in implementing socially significant projects.
In 2022, Ural State University of Economics has become one of the best venues for the national educational campaign “All-Russian Economic Dictation”. The action was organized by the Free Economic Society of Russia together with the International Union of Economists, with the participation of leading Russian universities.
Today, USUE teachers and staff, who took part in organizing the action, received certificates of honor from the President of the VEO of Russia Sergey Bodrunov. USUE rector Prof. Yakov Silin, the President of the Ural Branch of the VEO of Russia, presented the awards.
“Our regional branch of the Free Economic Society was given the right to independently check all economic dictations. VEO’s confidence results from our work. We are one of the best in Russia and the VEO leaders sent certificates of honor to our colleagues. I am happy to hand them over,” Yakov Silin said.
For a significant contribution to the activities of the VEO, aimed at promoting the socio-economic development of the country, active expert work, participation in implementing socially significant projects VEO awarded Roman Krasnov, USUE Vice-Rector for Social Work and Youth Policy, Ph.D. in Philology, Svetlana Pyankova, a member of the Presidium Ural Branch of the VEO of Russia, professor at the Department of Regional and Municipal Economics and Management, Doctor of Economics, and Nikita Vasiliev, head of the USUE Office for Social Work.
Besides, diplomas of the winners of the contest “The Best Question for Economic Dictation - 2022” were awarded to Anna Tolmacheva, a 1st-year student of the USUE Institute of Master’s Studies, and a fourth-year student of the Institute of Economics and Finance, Daniil Dobrorodny. They came up with questions that ended up in the category of tasks for school students in grades 9-11 and colleges. For the first time, USUE students were among the winners of the Best Question for the Economic Dictation 2022 contest. This year, the Competition received over 300 questions both from Russia and neighboring countries, and only 8 were included in the general list of tasks of the campaign.
