USUE economic forums are on the agenda of the Free Economic Society
The Free Economic Society (VEO) of Russia has included Ural Economic Forum (UEF) and the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum (EEYF} organized by USUE, along with the major economic forums and congresses of Russia and international and national research-to-practice conferences, in its schedule of activities for 2022.
The decision was taken at the Abalkin Readings - an annual scientific forum organized jointly by the VEO of Russia, the International Union of Economists, and the Department of Social Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences (economics section). The event was attended by leading scientists and experts, representatives of government bodies and the business community.
The topic of the current Readings is “30 Years of New Russia: Problems, Achievements, and Prospects”. The forum agenda also included issues on some regional organizations joining the VEO of Russia with the issuance of appropriate certificates: Vologda, Pskov, Kirov, Chuvash, Khanty-Mansi, and Komi, on admission to and expulsion from members of the VEO of Russia. Besides, the forum participants approved the editorial boards of the VEO publications: Scientific Works of the Free Economic Society of Russia, Free Economy magazine, and the popular science edition - Conversations on Economy.
By the way, the Ural branch of the VEO of Russia, headed by USUE Rector Dr.Yakov Silin, annually joins UEF and EEYF, and other events organized by Ural State University of Economics.
