Most of the settlers came from the frontline territories, setting out on the road with their families. For example, Tatyana Yaremko previously lived in a small village on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region. In the fall, her family moved to Yekaterinburg and now hopes to get housing here. At the time of departure, Tatyana had five children. The eldest son has already found a job in a new place, and the younger children, together with their mother, came to the New Year’s party at USUE today. Already in the Urals, Tatyana gave birth to little Dima. For a baby who was born in the heart of Russia, this will be the first New Year’s performance in his life.
At the USUE party, children and their parents saw the performance “The Emperor’s New Year’s Caprice”, prepared by the artists of the student theater Sphere, and met with Santa Claus. The kind wizard made a traditional round dance around the Christmas tree and presented holiday gifts to all the little guests.
This year, USUE regularly provided humanitarian help to residents of the new regions. The participation of new residents of Yekaterinburg in the USUE New Year’s performance will become a wonderful tradition.
