A competition for those wishing to join torchbearers of the Winter Universiade-2019 has broken in
The Winter Universiade-2019 relay race will start on September 20, the International Student Sports Day. Its participants will visit 30 cities of the country, including Krasnoyarsk Krai. These are cities where there are federal and large universities, and towns, and settlements that are economic, sports and cultural centers: Moscow, Arkhangelsk, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Simferopol, Rostov-on-Don, Stavropol, Grozny, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Vladivostok, Irkutsk, Barnaul, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Abakan, Kyzyl, Krasnoyarsk, Norilsk, Tura (settlement), Kodinsk , Yeniseisk, Kansk, Zelenogorsk, Shushenskoye (settlement), Minusinsk, Nazarovo, Achinsk, Zheleznogorsk, Divnogorsk, and, of course, Krasnoyarsk.
A citizen of Russia, who has reached the age of 18, can apply for participation in the competition. Candidates must have achievements in sports, scientific, creative, professional, or social activities. Not only eminent athletes but also students, scientists, artists, winners of contests for the title of the best in the profession, leaders and activists of social movements can apply to join the torchbearers. In total, it is planned to involve at least 600 torchbearers in the relay race of the Winter Universiade-2019.
To participate in the contest, applicants are invited to fill out an application in the federal automated information system "Molodezh Rossii". It can be accessed directly or through a link to it on the site of the Student Games (heading "Relay Race"). The deadline for submitting is May 2, 2018.
We would like to note that, holding the relay race is one of the old traditions of major international competitions. The Winter Universiade-2019 relay race is intended to popularize this global sports project among the world community, the population of Russia, the residents of Krasnoyarsk Krai, and the city-organizer of games - Krasnoyarsk.
When registering in the AIS "Molodezh Rossii", candidates are recommended to attach scanned copies of documents confirming his/her merits (diplomas, letters of appreciation, certificates of rewards, etc.). Then, in the "Events" section, it is necessary to select the heading "Torchbearer Competition" and click on the button "Submit an application". In this section, it will be necessary to supplement information about the candidate, write an essay on "I am a Torchbearer of the Winter Universiade-2019 Relay Race".
