A foreign language is the key to unite students of the world

USUE hosted the 5th International contest of student science-to-practice works “Russia in the Global World: Challenges of the 21st Century”. The Department of Business Foreign Languages organized a discussion in English of the contemporary Russia economy with USUE and RANEPA students.

As part of the event, it held an offline and online roundtable, where they discussed the prospects for the development of a university of the future. Nine students prepared presentations on this topic; among them was Alena Golubeva, a student of EC-19-3 group. She made a report “Trends and Challenges of Higher Education in Russia in the Near Future”. The girl highlighted distance learning, student mobility, and the formation of a common education space.

This is an area that interests me, and I have something to tell, including through my experience: I am now in Italy under a student mobility program, studying several foreign languages. This is not the first time I take part in the contest. Every year, when I write a fresh research paper in English, discussing it with my supervisor, I expand my worldview, find fresh information, and improve my writing and public speaking skills.” Alena shared her impressions.

On the second day of the Contest, the participants worked in three sections:
Immediate Concerns of Management, Marketing in Russia and Abroad, and Ways to International Success: How to Gain a Competitive Advantage.

It is worth reminding that on the first day of the Contest, its participants defended research papers on the general problems of digital transformation and ways to overcome them, education in the future, and the importance of soft and hard skills for future employment.

The 5th International contest of student science-to-practice works - “Russia in the Global World: Challenges of the 21st Century”- has finished.
