CHESS DEPARTMENT WILL BE AT USUE!

The beginning of the academic year was marked by important news for Ural State University of Economics. Anatoly Karpov, the twelfth world chess Merited Master of Sports of the USSR, State Duma deputy, in an official letter addressed to the USUE Rector Yakov Silin, agreed to head the Department of Chess Art at Ural State University of Economics.

 The creation and opening of the Department of Chess Art roots back to summer 2017 when USUE hosted the election conference of the Chess Federation of the Sverdlovsk region. Anatoly Karpov, the twelfth world chess champion, a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, was a participant of that conference.
