September 18, Ural State University of Economics hosted a meeting of the Political Council of the Sverdlovsk regional branch of the All-Russian political party United Russia. Party members summed up the 2017 election campaign.

The meeting of the Political Council was attended by the Governor of Sverdlovsk region Yevgeny Kuyvashev, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Sverdlovsk region Lyudmila Babushkina and the first deputy chairman of the committee for defense and security under the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, and a member of the Presidium of the General Council of United Russia Franz Klintsevich.

The secretary of the Sverdlovsk regional branch of United Russia Viktor Shepty summed up the election -2017, "Yevgeny Kuyvashev won 62.16 percent of Uralians."

The Governor congratulated on the end of the election campaign and thanked all those who took an active part in it. "The party outreach efforts are being jelled. One of the lines of the "Five Years of Development" program is the development of civil society and local self-government. I see this as a vast field for the party activities," the head of the region said.

The Governor reminded that on September 10, on a single day of voting, together with the election of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk region there were elections into local governments in 49 municipalities. Representatives of 11 political parties and independent candidates took part in the election campaign - altogether more than 2650 people. 794 persons were elected as deputies for municipal bodies. "Now it is very important to resolve promptly all organizational and procedural issues: to elect chairs and deputy chairs of Dumas, to form specialized commissions, to approve action plans, and then to start the budgeting process and to formulate municipal development strategies. As the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin said, any election results are an advance given by people to a manager of any level," Yevgeny Kuyvashev said.

We would like to remind that on May 11, 2017, USUE launched the election campaign 2017. The USUE Rector Yakov Silin then supported the nomination of Yevgeny Kuyvashev to participate in the primaries for the post of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk region and wished him success.
