Young scientists of USUE gave an expert assessment of Polevskoys strategic development project
Assistant professor at the USUE Department of Regional and Municipal Economics and Management Olga Ergunova, Ph.D. in Economics, gave high appraisal for the project of Polevskoy socio-economic development for 2017-2022 and saw in it the real points of the territory development. After the protection of this project in Skolkovo, the team from Polevskoy presented it to the business community of the city, public organizations, scientific community, and deputies of the City Duma.
In the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO, there was the defense of projects within the frame of the educational program on training administrative teams which are engaged in development of single-industry towns. The defense was chaired by the head of Polevskoy urban district Alexander Kovalev. He headed the team at Skolkovo and suggested four big areas to consider, each of which provides for a diversified development of a single-industry town.
In the Sverdlovsk region, on the instructions of the head of the region, a consistent work is being done to reduce the mono-dependence. Our region systematically participates in federal programs to support single-industry towns concerning the development of infrastructure, improvement of territories, and entrepreneurship.
