We need to be together
A flash mob of students and teachers of all USUE Institutes was held today at Ural State University of Economics in support of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine.
The participants of the action wore St. George's ribbons as a sign of respect for the freedom that our ancestors granted us struggling against Nazism. This symbolizes the purpose of the military operation: the denazification of Ukraine.
“Through the flash mob, we show that we are not indifferent to the special military operation and the policy of our government. Besides, the purpose of the event is to state our willingness to unite with neighboring countries. It is important for the staff and students of Ural State University of Economics to be together. We stand in full solidarity with the policy of our government, with the actions of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. Only by joint efforts we can defend our freedoms and interests,” said Yakov Silin, rector of Ural State University of Economics.
The event was attended by hundreds of students and teachers of the Institute of Economics and Finance, the Institute of Public and Municipal Administration and Law, the Institute of Management, Entrepreneurship and Engineering, the Institute of Strategic Planning and Financial Analysis, and the Institute of Digital Management Technologies and Information Security.
The day before, at the gable façade of USUE main building, they attached a banner with Z-shaped St. George’s ribbon. "Z" is a special marking of military vehicles of the RF Armed Forces participating in the special operation in Ukraine since February 24, 2022. On the official page of the RF Ministry of Defense, this letter is interpreted as "For Victory" and "The goal will be achieved."
