New terminology in professional communication
The All-Russia roundtable in English "New Terminology in Professional Communication" was held at USUE.
The participants of the meeting arrived from the universities of Yekaterinburg, Kirov, Tyumen, and Yaroslavl. They discussed problems of introduction of new terms in various professional fields: economy, production engineering, law, tourism sector, computer science, and pedagogy. The organizer of the event was the USUE Department of Foreign Languages.
USUE Vice-rector for Research Elena Dvoryadkina welcomed the participants, "Economists, managers, specialists in the field of information technologies and other specialists study at the University, so the topic "New terminology in professional communication", which we are discussing today, is very interesting and useful. I wish you a fruitful conversation."
Director of the Institute of Trade, Food Technology and Service Vera Solovieva also noted the importance of the event, "The topic is certainly remarkable. It is very interesting for me to listen to your reports because the results of such research work often become the basis for serious developments. "
The meeting was opened by Oksana Krut, associate professor of the Department of Intercultural Communication of Industrial University of Tyumen, presenting a report "Drawing Up a Motivation Letter: Problems and Solutions".
USUE experts, associate professors of the Department of Professional Language Education Liliya Zelenina and Galina Pokhodzey spoke about the ways of forming and translating professional terminology in pedagogy and methods of teaching foreign languages.
In their reports, the participants covered the themes "New terminology in jurisprudence", "Music therapy", "Music is a pulsation in national cultures", "The need to study mathematics", and others.
The organizers noted that the results exceeded expectations: the participants were able to reveal important, serious and unique topics. Such all-Russia scale meetings at the round table are planned to be held regularly.
