New status
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024 have been published. USUE is listed in the ranking with “reporter” status.
The World University Ranking is one of the most authoritative rankings of the British magazine Times Higher Education (THE) and the entire world. This year, the publication included 1904 universities from 108 countries. 108 universities represented the Russian Federation in the ranking, three of which are from Yekaterinburg.
Application and participation in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024 means reaching a new level. This year, USUE did not receive a rank, but was included in the ranking with the “reporter” status. Among Russian participants in the ranking, 30 universities received “reporter” status, and globally, about 800 universities were listed as such.
Reporter status is given to universities that could be included in the world ranking if they met the entry requirements for the volume of publications in Scopus (which means thousands of publications).
For two years in a row, Ural State University of Economics has been a participant in another Times Higher Education ranking - Impact Rankings, where it shows decent results and ranks in most indicators.
