«My Science is Informatics»: from the creation of websites to the mining of crypto-currencies

July 21, more than 200 people took part in the sprightly evening "My Science is Informatics" at the Yekaterinburg Nuclear Energy Information Center.

"How to mine crypto-currency, and where to find an ATM in Yekaterinburg? Where Bitcoins can be exchanged for rubles?"  With such questions to the Director of the USUE Institute of Finance and Law Professor Maxim Maramygin the evening began. Then, at the master classes on websites building and illustrations, at the lectures on the management of web pages delivered by computer school teachers, children and adults were able to understand practical issues of IT technologies.

Participants learned about the history of computers and future of BIM-technologies in building design from the lectures of Pavel Koshkin and Alexander Krivonogov. For example, the facts that the first computers were not bought in stores but set up in garages and that soon new profession of active and passive houses’ builders will appear: BIM-coordinator and BIM-operator.

Until late in the evening, everyone learned to draw with light and create animated characters, and then participated in the quest "The Stolen Secret", cracking a code to the spy's safe.
