A new elevator and 800 sq. m. of premises: USUE ends the preparation for the academic year
August 30, 2017, in the second building of Ural State University of Economics a new elevator was put into operation.
The USUE Rector Yakov Silin appreciated the work done, stressing the importance of launching the elevator in the second academic building. A new roomy elevator manufactured by OAO Mogilevliftmash is installed for students and employees of the University. It is convenient for people with disabilities. Extended doorway will allow the use of an elevator by disabled wheelchair users. Now the elevator is undergoing trials but it is already available for use.
According to the Vice-Rector for USUE Property Vladimir Kuligin, this summer, in addition to repair in dormitories in Umeltsev Street, over 800 square meters of premises in academic buildings have been repaired. For the next few years, it is planned to install elevators in the dormitories in Umeltsev Street and to launch the second elevator in the second academic building.
