The winners of the quest Cosmonautics Day visited Moscow

Most recently, a group of USUE students returned from Moscow. The trip was a kind of award for the students who, in April, won the quest "Cosmonautics Day", organized by USUE together with the youth club "Ural Pathfinder" of the Russian Geographical Society.

Students of the Institute of Economics Nona Madanava (VED-16-1), Anastasia Kozlova (RiMU-16-1), Mohamed Harval (VED-16), Mikhail Rozhkov (EMSP-16-1), and Jamshed Abdullayev (VED-16-2) accompanied by an Institute specialist, Yana Haidel, held several fascinating days in the Russian capital. Apart from the sightseeing tour over Moscow, they visited the Moscow Planetarium, the Museum of Cosmonautics, and the Victory Park on Poklonnaya Hill.

The winners of the quest brought many impressions from the trip. On a sightseeing tour, they walked through Red Square, the old and new Arbat.

In the Moscow Planetarium, students learned about planets, meteorites, plunged into the wonderful world of stars. They replenished their knowledge of scientific achievements and advanced space technologies. They heard a lot of new and interesting facts from the history of astronomy and the exploration of cosmos, they saw the oldest astronomical instruments in the museum of Urania and even held in their hands real meteorites. During the excursion, our students visited the stereo 4D cinema, Small Star Hall and saw bright and dynamic pictures of the starry sky on the largest in Europe dome-screen "Sky of the Planetarium".

In the Museum of Cosmonautics, students became acquainted with space vehicles and rockets. The excursion made it possible to see in what conditions the cosmonauts work. Among the exhibits of the museum the students highlighted the stuffed dog-cosmonauts Belka and Strelka, and pleasantly surprised the guide by recognizing the photo of Hero of Russia Anatoly Ivanishin, who visited USUE in March. As students say, the impressions of the tour will last for the rest of their life.

At Ural State University of Economics, much attention is paid to patriotic education, and a visit to the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Hill was of great importance. The museum is an integral and at the same time the main part of the Victory Memorial on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow. The museum part of the ensemble includes halls of memory and fame, an art gallery, six dioramas, as well as halls of historical exposition and a meeting hall for veterans. The students were very much impressed with the installation in the main hall: on the white marble slabs the names of almost 12 thousand Heroes were imprinted, who, giving their all, fought for their Motherland and were awarded the highest military award - the Star of Hero of the Soviet Union and Hero of the Russian Federation.

Our students have already returned home and are sharing their emotions and impressions with friends.
