Yakov Silin met with USUE activists

The academic year at Ural State University of Economics began actively not only among first-year students. September 5, the USUE Rector Yakov Silin met with representatives of the core groups and student associations of the University.

The Rector started the meeting with summing up the last academic year, told about the improvements that took place in the academic buildings and dormitories in summer and about the importance of this meeting. "You came here today to become managers in future," Yakov Petrovich summarized his speech.

During the conversation with the activists, they discussed important issues concerning the life and study of students: equipping of dormitories, organizing and supporting of various events, completed and upcoming repairs in the academic buildings and dormitories, and other.

The meeting was productive for all parties. Students got answers to their questions from the first person of the University, and the Rector learned about the students’ matters of concern. It is planned to hold such meetings regularly.
