Pies are even more delicious. New equipment appeared in the USUE food production facility

The food production facility of Ural State University of Economics has improved the quality of its bakery products. Now pies, desserts, and other sweeties will become even more delicious thanks to a new flour sifter.

Director of the facility Svetlana Kuznetsova says, “The updated equipment is targeted to separate the flour from impurities, scalpings, and foreign particles that may be in it. Besides, in the process of sieving, the flour becomes more friable, enriched with oxygen. The dough turns out to be homogeneous, smooth, and fluffy, and it grows higher. And even the rich fermented dough will always be airy as, for example, with pies and rolls, which are flown from the shelves by students and guests of the University".

We managed to observe the process: before the start of work, a container of the required volume for collecting the sifted flour is put under the tray of the receiving hopper. After being plugged into the mains, within a few seconds, the installation comes to a stable vibrating state.

With the help of a measuring container, the flour for processing is poured into the hopper in the amount of no more than 5 kg, so as not to damage the sieve. Thus, about 50 kg of flour is cleared per day. One person is required for this process and only for loading of a flour. After that, the device works independently.

Employees of the USUE food facility are confident that now bakery goods will be even in higher demand and note that in the near future the food factory plans to supply their confectionery and bakery products to the canteens in all student dormitories.
