The results of the international essay contest in English

 The results of the international essay contest in English, dedicated to World Day of Social Justice have been summed up.  The contest impressed the organizers with its geography.  In total, 155 papers were submitted to the contest.

 Most of the essays demonstrate the ability of future specialists to foreign language communication, their desire to link a given topic with personal and professional experience.  The contestants willingly quote well-known philosophers, economists, and teachers, confirming the significance of their ideas for the modern development of society.

 The students of universities in different cities of the Russian Federation from   Rostov-on-Don to Novosibirsk actively expressed their positions on the problems of social inequality.  Among the participants, there were universities of Yekaterinburg as well: USUE, UrFU, RSVPU, USURT, and USLA.  The students of Ural University of Economics presented 50 papers to the contest.

 Foreigners were represented by universities of Lithuania (Panevezys), Belarus (Polotsk), and the  United States of America (Sacramento, California).

 The contest ended up with USUE students winning the prize places.  In the nomination "Wealth and income", the third place was shared by Ksenia Kvashnina and Anastasia Abdrakhmanova.

 In the nomination "Social justice - is  it  possible nowadays?" Anna Getmanskaya took first  place and Taisia Makeeva – second place.

 In the nomination "Equality does not mean justice"  the first place was taken by Ivan Verevkin, third place - by Oleg Shevtsov.

 The USUE Department of Foreign Languages  expresses gratitude to all scientific advisors for    their preparation of the winners of the international contest.
