Journey to the so-called Uralmash

September 14, the participants of the international summer school "Eurasia economic school", supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), visited the so-called Uralmash satellite town, became acquainted with the history, planning and architecture of the district, learned about the most interesting buildings in this part of the city, especially those built in the Constructivism style. The participants learned about a factory kitchen and the Madrid hotel.   However, perhaps, the most interesting place was the White Tower (the former water tower)   in   Ordzhonikidzevsky district   of Yekaterinburg built in 1928-31 under the project of  M. Reischer. The visitors asked many questions about the history of the area and architectural features of the Constructivism.
