The top 100 rankings are headed by American Harvard and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), as well as English Oxford, Cambridge and University College London. Three Russian universities entered TOP-100 universities of the world. These are Lomonosov Moscow State University, St. Petersburg State University, and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
The Moscow International University Ranking evaluates all three key university missions: education, research, and university & society. To compile the ranking, objective criteria are used, including public reports of universities, data from international information providers, and other open sources. The international expert council, which makes up the ranking, includes 25 specialists from 16 countries.
