USUE Rector and the leading experts of EEYF spoke at a press conference

The press conference was held on the first day of the VIII Eurasian Economic Youth Forum "Eurasian Space: Good Neighborliness and Strategic Partnership" in the press center of the Interfax-Ural news agency.

According to Yakov Silin, 40 contests will be held during the forum, for which more than 1850 applications were sent in advance.

"For the second time in a row, we are holding not four but five congresses. One of them turned out to be very popular and will be popular in future - the "Congress of High School Students". Today, those who are in school, are interested in where they will continue to study," the Rector said.

Yakov Silin stressed that the forum in the Urals is the main economic forum for young people.

In turn, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Equatorial Guinea in the Russian Federation, Jose Esono Micha Akeng noted that students of his country study at USUE and get here a good education, "I think we will work even harder in this direction, in order to increase the number of students studying here."

Head of the Laboratory at the Institute of Control Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Economics Robert Nizhegorodtsev added that the approach to education is now changing; the educator is acting as a navigator for a student, showing "what and how young people should learn."

"We are on the threshold of this state of things, when the approach to the sphere of education and to the educational process is changing. The role of the teacher is not how to teach young people something but to help them learn," he concluded.

The chair of the Department of Economic Theory at St. Petersburg State University, Doctor of Economics, Professor Viktor Ryazanov is dealing with the problem of new industrialization, and for him personally Ural is important because it is the industrial smithy of the country and, perhaps, one of those locomotives that will help the Russian economy restore its potential. Therefore, he accepted the invitation of USUE for the VIII Eurasian Economic Youth Forum and delivered a lecture.
