The meeting took place on March 7 at the USUE roundtable. The reason for that was to sum up the development of cooperation in the field of education. USUE received a grant from the British Consulate in Yekaterinburg, in terms of which lecturers of Liverpool John Moores University Mr. Nicholas Wise and Ms. Kelly Maguire delivered a series of lectures for USUE students and staff.
The seminar lasted four days: first, the British guests met with students of the Institute of Trade, Food Technologies and Service and the Institute of Economics. Nick and Kelly gave a lecture “Event Management” and told how one could use the infrastructure objects remained after major events. The same topic was discussed the next day at the roundtable, where, in addition to the USUE faculty, there were representatives of the city and region administration, as well as business. British experts introduced them to the experience of Europe in conducting major events and presented a scheme of interaction between authorities, science, education, and business. Kelly Maguire is going to extend the results of scientific research to Yekaterinburg.
New British Consul General in Yekaterinburg Mr. Richard Dewell commenced his duties less than a month ago. USUE rector Yakov Silin thanked the guest for the meeting and noted the productive start of cooperation
