SPEC-2018 panel session

April 2, 2018, in St. Petersburg, the IV Saint Petersburg International Economic Congress (SPEC 2018) was held.


Prof. Yakov Silin, the president of the VEO Urals branch and the Rector of Ural State University of Economics, became the moderator of the session "The Fourth Industrial Revolution and Digitalization: What is the Future of Economy?"

Co-moderators of the  section were Andrei Besedin,  vice-president of VEO Urals branch and president of the Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Yekaterinburg), and  Dr. Andrei Schmidt, vice-president of VEO Urals branch and vice-rector for Academic Affairs of South Ural State University (Chelyabinsk).

The section presented 15 reports prepared by representatives of business, science, and authorities, including:
- Victoria Akberdina, head of the Department of Regional Industrial Policy and Economic Security of the Institute of Economics, UrB RAS, Doctor of Economics (Yekaterinburg): "Transformation of Industrial Complex under the Fourth Industrial Revolution";
- Andrei Kolganov, head of the laboratory of the comparative study of socio-economic systems at Moscow State University, Doctor of Economics (Moscow): "Digital Economy And Industrial Technologies";
- Yulia Lavrikova, member of the Presidium of the VEO Urals branch, deputy director of the Institute of Economics of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Economics (Yekaterinburg): "Industrial Future of a Largest City";
- Prof. Irina Savelieva, member of the Presidium of the VEO Urals branch, Director of the Higher School of Economics and Management at South Ural State University (National Research University), Doctor of Economics, (Chelyabinsk): "Industrial Revolution And Labor Productivity in the Russian Federation: Reality and Strategy";
- Alexey Pryadein, member of the Presidium of the VEO Urals branch, head of the Department of Economy at the Yekaterinburg Administration (Yekaterinburg): "Strategy for the Development of a Largest City: on the Way to Industrialization 4.0";
- Elena Tkachenko, professor of the Department of Economics and Management of Enterprises at St. Petersburg State University of Economics, Doctor of Economics (St. Petersburg): "Problems of Technological Audit of Technology Transfer in Industry 4.0";
- Andrei Misyura, member of the Presidium of the VEO Urals branch, General Director of NPO Avtomatiki (Yekaterinburg): "Contribution of NPO Avtomatiki in the High-Tech Future of Mankind";
– Prof. Izmail Kaurbekovich Khuzmiev, member of the Board of VEO of Russia, president of the North Ossetia Department of the Free Economic Society of Russia, professor of the Department of Information Technologies in Economics at the North Caucasian Mining and Metallurgical Institute, a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Electrical Sciences, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the North Ossetia Republic-Alania, (Vladikavkaz), "Active-adaptive Smart Grid of innovative Tagauria zone” and others.
Based on the results of the session some recommendations were made and a collection of scientific papers will be compiled.
