Open defenses of the projects under the contest «New in Training Technology ?2017»

The exhibition stage of the traditional contest «New in Training Technology» has completed. This year, the contest was held under the umbrella of the University’s 50th anniversary, and this gave it special significance: the projects demonstrated the level of innovative activity that the teaching staff of the University had achieved by the half-century anniversary. The level of the competition is rather high: this year, 27 projects of 40 authors were submitted to the contest.

Another peculiarity of this year’s contest is a new nomination — «Introduction of Open Education Technologies». In this category the most ambitious and avant-garde projects were presented:

  • «Video Cases for Classes with Bachelor’s and Master’s Students» (Irina Tkachenko, chair of the Department of Corporate Economics and Business Management)
  • «Electronic Education for Financiers» FINNANO" (Elina Zakirova, chair of the Department of Financial Management, and Ekaterina Yalunina, professor, Department of Competition Law and Antimonopoly Regulation, director of the Institute of Continuing Education);
  • «Use of WebQuest Technology in Training of Professional English» (Tatyana Markova, associate professor, Department of Business Foreign Language, and Irina Pervukhina, senior teacher),
  • "Use of Blended Learning Technology «(Galina Bannykh, associate professor, Department of Applied Sociology).

Innovative developments based on information technologies were presented by the staff of the Department of Applied Mathematics: the department chair Yuri Melnikov, associate professors Sergei Shitikov, Elena Onokhina, Alla Breeva, Olga Kulikova, senior lecturers Alla Knysh, Irina Novak, Larisa Rudnaya, Vadim Solovyanov, and engineer Sergei Shirpuzhev. The Department of Applied Mathematics presented five projects, setting a record for the entire history of the contest.

The second champion was the Department of Merchandising and Goods Expertise, which together with the USUE College had developed three projects; their authors are the chair of the department Olga Zueva, associate professor Lyudmila Donskova, senior lecturers Galina Cherentsova and Elena Rogozinnikova, director of the College Tatyana Maltseva, and instructor Nadezhda Danko.

In the «computer» category, Elena Miroshnikova, associate professor, Department of Physics and Chemistry, demonstrated her original innovation useful for organizing the work of a teacher in the context of modern requirements. Natalia Nikolaeva, senior lecturer, Department of Foreign Languages, defended the project «Using the WhatsApp Messenger.»

Interesting practical-oriented innovations were presented by Elena Kurilova, chair of the Department of Tourism Business and Hospitality, and associate professors Galina Kornova and Elena Ivlieva in their project «Forming the Skills of Students’ Research Activities in the Field of Personnel Training for the Hospitality Industry.»

Impressive projects implemented in the field of career guidance and work with College students were presented by associate professors of the Department of Commerce, Logistics and Trade Economics Svetlana Tsaregorodtseva and Gleb Savin, and associate professor of the Department of Physics and Chemistry Irina Gordeeva.

Innovations based on gaming and other active pedagogical techniques were presented by associate professors of the Department of International Business Irina Savelieva and Vera Maydanik, and associate professor of the Department of Applied Sociology Natalya Kachalova.

Bright and memorable were the presentations by young teachers who had already reached a sufficiently high level of professionalism and acquired a unique experience, interesting and useful to all colleagues. These are associate professors of the Department of World Economy Darya Chupina and Vera Maltseva, associate professors of the Department of Marketing and International Management Tatyana Sysoeva and Ivan Vozmilov, associate professor of the Department of Food Engineering Nadezhda Moskovenko, senior lecturers of the Department of Food Technology Denis Mysakov and Irina Yakutova. The participation of young specialists in the contest and their achievements inspire a firm belief that the professional excellence of the faculty staff of our University is enhancing and the future of educational activity is well-handled.
