Student pedagogical brigade “Forsazh from USUE won the jubilee regional contest
the Youth Public Organization "Sverdlovsk Regional Student Team" was held, in which 18 members of different teams took part. The teams of Ural State University of Economics showed themselves off really well. In the final of the jubilee contest, Elizaveta Fedotova from USUE Forsazh pedagogical brigade became the winner, having shown the skill of beatbox, dance, and other talents, and Alexei Veretennikov from Aquamarine brigade received a special jury prize.
We would like to note the teams that participated in the qualifying round but, unfortunately, did not reach the finals: these are Viteria and Hellas. All in all, 51 student teams of Yekaterinburg competed for the opportunity to reach the finals.
The topic of the contest was "Eighteen Emotions of Spring". During the month, the candidates were preparing for the final: regular rehearsals, participation in creative competitions: a contest of photos, slogans, and poems.
"To say that I'm happy means nothing to say. A great responsibility rested with me: to show that my team can do much and it deserves the first place. When they listed all the nominations and began to award the winners, I thought that I would get only the certificate of participation. However, when they announced that Elizaveta Fedotova took first place, I did not know what to do: to scream, squeal, or fall to the floor. I want to thank my team for their help and support. I'm glad that I was right to choose this brigade," Elizaveta Fedotova shares her opinion.
The regional contest of candidates was held for the first time in 1999. Contests of candidates were held before in some universities and zonal teams. The need to involve candidates in a single event appeared during the restoration of the student teams’ movement after the problems of the mid-1990s. The contest immediately became very entertaining and popular; more than 70 teams took part in it every year. Such activity of the participants led to the need for several selection rounds.
