Julia Panteleeva took second place at the World Climbing Championship-2017

September 9, at the World Climbing Championship there held a medal event on all-around in junior groups. The all-around discipline appeared after climbing was first included into the program of the Olympic Games 2020 in Tokyo, and later, into the program of the Youth Olympics 2018 in Buenos Aires.

In Innsbruck (Austria), in the junior groups for medals in all-around competed the best six athletes who were selected based on results in three climbing disciplines - speed, difficulty, and bouldering.

As a result, Semen Ovchinnikov (Krasnoyarsk Krai), the silver medalist of the World Championship-2017, and Julia Panteleeva, the silver medalist of the European Championship-2016 (Sverdlovsk region, Yekaterinburg, a USUE student, group M-16-3), strived for victory in the all-around competition .

In the category of juniors the silver medal was won by Julia Pnateleeva (coach Larisa Bychkovskaya). She had the first result in speed, the second - in bouldering, and the fifth - in difficulty.

After today, the youth team of Russia on all-around events has 15 awards (11 – in speed, two – in bouldering and two in all-around): four gold, seven silver, and four bronze medals.
