A solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas to graduates of professional retraining programs was held at the USUE Institute of Extended Education.

Diplomas were awarded to 20 graduates of the Human Resources Management and Labor Economics and Procurement Specialist programs. On behalf of the Rector of the University, the graduates were welcomed by the USUE Vice-Rector for Extended Education and Career Guidance Elena Knyazeva.

“This class comprises multifarious participants. However, their equal attention and diligence in studies show everyone needs new knowledge,” Elena Knyazeva said. “Every year, many innovations appear in labor economics. It is necessary to learn these new areas and achieve a high level of professionalism. As for procurement specialists, I would say that your work directly saves employers’ money. This is important, especially for state-funded organizations. Budget money requires rational managerial and financial decisions.”

How can one cancel an already completed purchase? How to submit information on changes in the contract? How can a supplier generate a notice? These are just a few of questions that students of the Procurement Specialist program receive answers to. In the course of training, the students of the Human Resource Management and Labor Economics program mastered new rules for working with personal data, as well as the specific features of working with occupational safety personnel.

Elina Zakirova, director of the USUE Institute of Extended Education, recalled that all graduates of USUE retraining programs in the future could enter master’s accelerated training programs.

“We will be glad to see you again within the walls of the university,” Elina Zakirova addressed the graduates. “Cooperating with you, we are also building a dialogue with your enterprises, strengthening the business community of the region with up-to-date knowledge in the field of economics and management.”

Svetlana Dolzhenko, head of the Department of Labor Economics and Human Resources Management, conducted some classes for graduates, and noted that there was not a single “random person” in the groups who come only to “get a wallpaper degree”.

“The training of professionals in the field of HR management has a special mission. Such a specialist becomes a ‘login window’ to an enterprise,” Svetlana Dolzhenko believes. “You get to know specialists and you evaluate where and how to apply their skills in the best way. Now you have basic knowledge, you have experience that you can continue to build up further and plan further career growth.”

Thanks to USUE distance education technologies, in each group of specialists with whom the Institute of Extended Education works, there are representatives from various regions of Russia. This time, along with representatives of Sverdlovsk region enterprises, there were specialists from a Far East company.
