Study visa: instructions for use
To enter Ural State University of Economics in 2023, citizens of foreign countries need to get or timely renew a study visa. To start the new academic year on time, you need to take care of submitting documents now.
To date, about 2,500 foreign students do the masters and study for Ph.D. at Ural State University of Economics. They came to Yekaterinburg from 68 countries of the world, for example, from India, China, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Morocco. About 500 foreign citizens graduate from the Russian language courses at the USUE preparatory faculty.
Now the university is running an admissions campaign for the 2023/2024 academic year. Applicants who are abroad should send color scanned images of their passport and document on education and qualification with their notarized translation to international@usue.ru. University staff would help you with registration on the site and uploading documents.
Afterwards, future students will remotely take an entrance exam as a test. Those who successfully cope with the task and admitted to the university will receive an official invitation within a month. It will serve as the basis for obtaining a study visa for 90 days. Within a month from the date of obtaining a visa, you need to arrive in Yekaterinburg to have time to get on the migration register, pay the state duty for issuing a multiple-entry visa, and undergo medical tests.
To extend a student visa, it is necessary no later than 45 days before its expiration to transfer the original passport and migration card, a document on education, the result of the tests, a check for paying the state duty, and 1 photo to the USUE International Relations Office. Based on this package of documents, the university applies for a visa extension for up to 1 year. Since the migration service needs at least 20 days to consider and satisfy the application, the package of documents should be submitted as soon as possible.
The applicants who in the 2022/2023 academic year studied at the preparatory faculty or did a bachelor at USUE, should submit a certificate or diploma confirming successful completion of studies and all other documents by August 3 to enter the next level of education.
