USUE students communicate with the Consul General of Hungary in Yekaterinburg

Ural State University of Economics Fábián was visited by the Consul General of Hungary in Yekaterinburg, Mr. Sándor Fábián. The purpose of his working visit was to discuss areas of cooperation between USUE and Hungarian universities, the participation of their delegations in the upcoming XII Eurasian Economic Youth Forum, and face-to-face communication with students. 

The guest was met by USUE rector Yakov Silin and Vice-rector for Extended Education and Career Guidance Elena Knyazeva, who discussed with him the preparation for the main youth economic event of the Urals - XII EEYF. The forum will be held in April 2022. Mr. Fábián confirmed his intention to participate in that large-scale event and get experts and young scientists from his homeland involved in it.    

We would like to remind you that now Ural State University of Economics has three ongoing cooperation agreements with Hungarian universities: University of Dunaújváros, Óbuda University, and Kodolányi János University (Székesfehérvár). USUE is interested in expanding the list of its foreign partners.

After discussing areas of cooperation with the senior executives of the university, Mr. Fábián met with foreign students of USUE. Friendly communication took place in Russian. The guest was happy to talk about the history and culture of his country, that it welcomes tourists from Russia, and about the vistas that are open up for students. 

 

A lot of young people from different countries of the world, including Russia, study in Hungary. Specialties related to engineering and modern technologies are highly valued here. We believe that professionals who have good knowledge of these subjects can easily achieve high wages for their job. However, irrespective of academic disciplines, Hungarian education combines traditional knowledge with innovations. You can always find what you need in accordance with your requests and skills,” Sándor Fábián told USUE students.  

 

 

After a short presentation of educational and scholarship programs, the students had the opportunity to ask Mr. Fábián their questions. The main topics that interested students were Hungarian policy on coronavirus busting, the existing levels of education, and the specifics of working in the consulate.
