At USUE, Sverdlovsk members of United Russia discussed the presidential elections
More than 400 participants gathered at the events arranged by Sverdlovsk regional branch of United Russia, which took place at USUE. The University was chosen as the venue because of established fruitful cooperation between the management of the University and the local branch of the party.
The event was opened by the training seminar of activists of the Sverdlovsk regional branch of the party where they outlined its main activities. As part of the work of the sections, the participants summed up the election campaign in the context of the 2018 elections, analyzed the results of implemented projects, discussed the activities of the United Russia deputies in the representative bodies of municipalities, and a number of other issues.
Within the framework of the event, an expanded meeting of the regional political council was held. Welcoming the audience, First Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Vladimir Tungusov said,
“The voter turnout for the election of the Russian President, which will be held on March 18, 2018, should show the maturity of our region. In this regard, a great responsibility falls on the public headquarters. In addition, members of the Sverdlovsk regional branch of United Russia need to intensify their efforts in social networks, as well as to attract more observers from among activists.
At the meeting of the political council, it was decided to convene the 32nd conference of the Sverdlovsk regional branch of United Russia on December 9, 2017 in Yekaterinburg, and to arrange the reception of citizens at the regional public reception office of Dmitry Medvedev and local public reception offices of the party within the period from November 27 to December 3, 2017. Public reception offices are very popular among residents of the Sverdlovsk region. Last year, almost 3,500 people addressed the deputies on hot issues; 390 meetings with officials took place.
Besides, at the event, they appreciated the work of United Russia members who took an active part in the election campaign of the Sverdlovsk Region Governor Yevgeny Kuyvashev.
