Traditional New Years Rectors Ball was held at USUE

Academic staff and support personnel of Ural State University of Economics plunged into the atmosphere of the holiday at the annual New Year Rector's Ball on December 21 in the Recreation Center of the University.

In the Mirror Hall, for the guests of the holiday there were located photo zones, and life-size puppets and the Dog, symbol of the year, welcomed the guests.

The solemn evening was opened by the USUE Rector Yakov Silin. He summed up 2017 and congratulated the staff on the upcoming New Year.

For long-term excellent work and significant contribution to the development of the University the Rector handed the USUE Badge of Honor to Elena Alimova, senior lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages, Svetlana Boronenkova, professor of the Department of Accounting and Auditing, Boris Bortnik, associate professor at the Department of Physics and Chemistry, Hiena Brainina, chief researcher, Irina Vashlyaeva, senior lecturer at the Department of Physical Education and Sports, Vladimir Ilyashenko, professor at the Department of Political Economy, Natalia Kachalova, associate professor at the Department of Applied Sociology, Ludmila Kuklina, associate professor at the  Department of Political Economy, Irina Logunova, head of the Salary and  Scholarship Office,  Nelly Lobanova, associate professor of the Department of Foreign Languages, Lidiya Maslova, associate professor at the Department of Accounting and Auditing, Raisa Mochalova, specialist at Rector’s Office, Natalia Sudakova, associate professor at the Department of Physics and Chemistry, and Gennady Yarin,  associate professor at the Department of Enterprise Economics.

In addition to the USUE Badge of Honor, the diploma, certificate and the badge  USUE Honorary Veteran were awarded to  Albina Chernysheva, engineer of the Department of Physics and Chemistry,  and Nadezhda Korkodinova, chief specialist of the counterintelligence department.

The staff of the University spent the whole evening in the company of the vocal-instrumental ensemble "Friends". In addition, the Recreation Center prepared a competitive program for the guests.
