USUE researchers have received RFBR grants

Eight projects of fundamental research in the field of humanities and social sciences, the University sent to the contest, were selected by the expert council and received financial support from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research. The annual grant amount for the implementation of each project was 700 thousand rubles. Most of the programs are designed for two years.

The research assumes the analysis and study of certain issues of new industrialization, the economy of a new industrial city, the assessment of export opportunities of the medium-size business of old industrial regions of the Urals, and some other economic issues.

“We are happy for our scientists since the demand for their research is distinguished by the government. A RFBR grant is a significant stage in the life of any researcher. We want to wish the winners successful work on the implementation of grants - this is a great job, as well as bright and breakthrough ideas aimed at strengthening the economy of the Urals and the country as a whole,” Anton Glumov, head of the USUE Scientific Research Office, commented the event.

A total of 4,831 applications were submitted from the Russian universities. The expertise supported 947 projects.

USUE scientific schools are represented by more than 80 doctors and 350 candidates of sciences (Ph.D.), mainly in the field of economics and finance. Annually, more and more projects of the University scientists are supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Russian Science Foundation, and by other organizations.
