USUE develops relations with Hungary

October 11, at Ural State University of Economics, Rector of the University of Dunaújváros (Hungary) Istvan Andras met with USUE top management. The Hungarian colleagues became acquainted with the University and agreed on establishing horizontal links.

On the part of  USUE, the meeting was attended by Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Sergei Rogozhin, Vice-Rector Elena Dvoryadkina,, associate professor at the Department of Public and Municipal Administration and director of international programs Marina Vidrevich, and head of USUE International Cooperation Office Margarita Medvedeva.

According to Sergei Rogozhin, USUE has about 20 thousand students, most of whom are trained in the areas of “Economics". "We can begin to cooperate in the areas of the food industry and economics. In addition, we are interested in joint research and publications, as well as exchange of teachers," said the USUE Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.

Istvan Andras congratulated the University management on the anniversary and said that the University of Dunaújváros was 65 years old. "Our university is located in an industrial area, so our specialization is applied sciences. We closely cooperate with industrial enterprises and companies throughout Hungary," the Rector of the University of Dunaújváros told.

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the University of Dunaújváros Monika Rajcsanyi-Molnar noted that about 10% of international students from 30 countries study at their university. In addition, the university has two own companies that provide assistance and support to the activities of the university and students and help develop scientific and research work. "We already have foreign partner universities in Europe, Asia, North and South America. Now it is important to establish such ties with Russia," she added.

After the meeting, the Hungarian colleagues toured the university; they saw auditoria, computer labs, library, laboratories of the USUE Department of Food Technology and proposed to introduce the Hungarian national cuisine into our learning process.

It should be noted that in November USUE delegation will visit the University of Dunaújváros to agree on specific areas of cooperation.

Today students from 32 countries of the world study at USUE and this number is growing. Currently, USUE has 109 agreements on international cooperation with foreign institutions. Inter-university agreements with educational institutions in 29 countries have been signed and are being implemented, including universities in Kazakhstan, Germany, France, China, South Korea, Belarus and other countries.

It is worth noting that April 17 at Ural State University of Economics the Rector of the University Yakov Silin Hungarian received colleagues from the University of Dunaújváros. The parties discussed possible areas of cooperation.
