Reports on changes in the system of scientific activities support at USUE were delivered by the head of the Scientific Research Office Anton Glumov and the head of the Scientometrics Laboratory Victor Blaginin.  In his report, Anton Glumov drew attention to the fact that today USUE scientists can receive financial support for writing a thesis without any age limits.  At the same time, it should be specially noted that the system of the motivation of scientific activity in our University assumes the possibility of receiving a grant in the amount of 150 thousand rubles as by a young scientist, engaged in the preparation of a Ph.D. thesis, so by his/her academic adviser.  Viktor Blaginin told about opportunities the USUE Scientometrics  Laboratory presents to scientists: assistance in placement of scientific papers in    Russian and foreign publications (including negotiations with publishing houses and necessary assistance in translation of materials and formatting to the publishing house’s requirements).  Besides, they touched upon the matter of changing the list of RSCI, Scopus and  VAK journals.

Svetlana Dolzhenko noted that from the beginning of 2017, much work had been done for the formation of the first talent pipeline.  By results of the qualifying stage held with the participation of an expert commission, young teachers were invited to participate in strategic session and training, and as a result, they had to prepare an essay on the development of our University.  The authors of the best essays could enter the first talent pipeline of USUE.  Later on, it is they who will form the strategy of our University, and implement activities for further development and support of USUE promising teachers and employees.

At the end of the meeting, Yakov Silin awarded certificates to 30 young teachers and specialists who had already passed the second module of training "University Management", and to those had shown the best results in the qualifying stages he also presented certificates confirming their entry into the  USUE talent pool.
