USUE IS WAITING FOR STUDENTS FROM TAJIKISTAN

March 22-23, in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, there was a try-out of applicants for Rossotrudnichestvo quotas for training in the Russian Federation: at master courses, medical residency, and postgraduate schools.

For 2018-2019, Tajikistan was allocated 618 quotas for all levels of study (bachelor’s, master's, residency, postgraduate), which is one of the most for foreign countries. more than 2,000 entries from Tajik citizens were made.  

The interview took place at the Russian-Tajik (Slavonic) University. All candidates were divided into three clusters: medical, technical, and humanitarian. During two days, more than 600 people from different regions and cities of Tajikistan passed the interview. With applicants residing abroad, applying for admission to the master’s courses, residency, and postgraduate study, they spoke via Skype.

Commissions included the representatives of Russian  universities and scientific institutions : National University "Higher School of Economics", Far Eastern Federal University, Moscow Pedagogical State University, Russian-Tajik (Slavonic) University, Institute for Asian and European Studies under the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan, Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan, Russian Center of Science and Culture in the Republic of Tajikistan, and Center for International Programs. Ural State University of Economics was represented by Professor N. Vlasova, the Department of Public and Municipal Administration.

During the interview, they assessed the level of proficiency in Russian, performance level of a student, scientific and other achievements, and motivation. All the candidates really showed a high level of motivation, they have good academic performance and achievements in scientific and public life.   Their knowledge of Russian allows to take training in Russia. At the same time, a significant number of applicants are ready to return after studying at home.

Despite the fact that most of the applicants in the humanitarian cluster gave priority to universities in Moscow and St. Petersburg, many of them know about USUE and are ready to come to Yekaterinburg.

All applicants were given USUE booklets and informed about master’s and postgraduate programs.
