USUE discussed election process in the Russian Federation

January 29, at Ural State University of Economics there was a roundtable "Election Process in Russia." The organizer was the USUE Department of Public and Municipal Administration.

It should be noted that the roundtable is included in the plan of events of the Ural branch of the Free Economic Society of Russia (VEO), as well as in the federal plan of the Society.

The first four reports dealt with the organizational and legal aspects of the election process of the Russian Federation, the last two - with the practical implementation of some of them. In particular, Yevgeny Ivanov, a student of group GMS-14, spoke about the concept and typology of election systems. Artem Kumov (GMS-16 group) focused attention on the factors of election efficiency.

Alina Kuzhanova (GMS-16 group) defined organizational and legal grounds of the election process. Ekaterina Melnikova (GMS-16) presented monitoring of regional and local elections. Denis Reznichenko, associate professor at the USUE Department of Public and Municipal Administration, explained political technologies in modern election campaigns and Maxim Berdnikov, a student of SPGU-16 group, talked about political rhetoric.
