Management and maintenance of apartment buildings was discussed at USUE
Within the framework of the first International Scientific and Practical Forum «Housing and Communal Services and Quality of Life in the 21st Century: Economic Models, New Technologies, and Management Practices», experts discussed various problems of inspections, operation, and management of apartment buildings. The master classes are aimed at attendees who are already involved in housing and communal services.
Larisa Lapina, Deputy Executive Director of New Quality Association, project manager of the Center of Urban Economy Development at Higher School of Economics, spoke about technical inspections and monitoring of apartment buildings. «Inspection and monitoring of technical state — this is what an employee has to begin with when visiting buildings,» she said.
The speaker focused attention on the technical operation, «It is a system of complex works that are carried out with an apartment building. It needs to be properly organized in order to preserve the vitality of the elements of a building as long as possible.»
Elena Shereshovets, a member of the Expert Council of the Energy Committee at the State Duma, touched upon current issues of transition to direct payments for utilities and resources.
Olesya Leshchenko, Executive Director of the New Quality Association, a member of the Expert Council for Housing and Utilities and Housing Policy at the State Duma, spoke of the unified standard for management of apartment buildings and touched upon the implementation of professional standards in this management.
