Ural State University of Economics rated the quality of Ural bread
Ural State University of Economics launched the festival of the quality of bread, bakery, confectionery and cakes. The annual event organized by the Quality Assurance Center with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Sverdlovsk region and the Administration of Yekaterinburg has been held for the 16th time.
As part of the festival, an exhibition of bakery and confectionery and a tasting of products of 14 enterprises of the Ural Federal District were organized at Ural State University of Economics. The jury consisted of leading industry experts: technologists, merchandisers, job training instructors, and representatives of government agencies that control the market.
The representatives of the taste panel evaluated the organoleptic qualities of the products (their taste and visual appearance) and studied the composition of each product for compliance with the properties stated on the label. In total, 52 bakery products were presented at the competition.
The deputy head of ANO Roskachestvo spoke about the activities of this organization aimed at educating consumers, creating conditions in which it will be convenient for customers to navigate the market. As of today, the laboratory complexes of Roskachestvo studied more than 5,000 products in over 100 categories. First of all, they inspect those goods that are in the greatest demand among buyers. The best are assigned the corresponding quality mark. The information on products with identified deficiencies that affect their quality is delivered to Rospotrebnadzor.
All participants in the meeting emphasized the importance of a trilateral dialogue between manufacturers, sellers, and government agencies, noting that the next step should be a qualitative transformation of the processes of interaction between marketers.
