All-Russian Day 1C:Career is held simultaneously in 100 cities of Russia. With the active participation of the USUE Division of Interaction with Employers and Department of Accounting and Auditing, official organizers of the Day of Career in Yekaterinburg were Prime-1C-Yekaterinburg, TSA, Erikos, and Geosoft. Its participants were students of USUE, UrFU, USFEU, Yekaterinburg Economic and Technological College, and Polzunov College.
Within the framework of the Day of Career, there were meetings with potential employers and presentations of specialists and announcement of the results of the regional diploma projects competition. Throughout the event, the participants could take part in a variety of quizzes and the winners received training versions of 1C:Enterprise 8 and 1C:Accounting 8, and other valuable gifts.
The representative of 1C-Distributor "Prime Location" Galina Frolova in her report "There is Such a Profession: to Automate Homeland" told the students about 1C areas of activities: development and publishing automation programs for organizations and "home" products, distribution programs of leading world companies, running major federal, regional, and industry-specific projects in automation.
The representative of 1C-Distributor "ASP- Distribution" Tatyana Antonova told about opportunities to participate in activities for clients and get awards and prizes from 1C Company in her report "Student 1C:Competitions".
That day, the reports were delivered by Oleg Burneyko (Geosoft), Maxim Isaev (1C: First Bit), Alisa Morozova (A & B), Anastasia Tuganova (Erikos), Galina Frolova ("Prime Region"), and Yevgeny Iskhakov (Automation Technologies). The students learned that working at the 1C partner network could give them an interesting job, a demanded and well-paid profession, an opportunity to become a member of the professional community of specialists, and bring real benefits to the country. A separate block of communication was devoted to the opportunity to undertake practical training at 1C firms and the ways to prepare oneself for the future profession. After the end of the event, everyone had the opportunity to talk with employers and get information about interested vacancies.
All participants of the Day of Career had a chance to take a free exam on the program 1C:Professional. Certificates 1C:Professional are the documents confirming the high level of 1C:Accounting 8 knowledge and are highly valued by employers.
Among the announced winners of the regional diploma projects competition were the students of the Institute of Finance and Law: I. Zelenina and N. Dyuzheva (academic supervisor – Professor N.S. Necheukhina), who were awarded diplomas and prizes.
Prizes and Letters of Gratitude were awarded to the winners of the student competitions of the 2016-2017 academic year.
The Department of Accounting and Auditing and 1C Company have shown an efficient interaction of educational institutions and employers in the field of training of competitive specialists.
It is worth noting that more than one million organizations use 1 C: Enterprise. More than 5 million people work with 1C programs. Many graduates will be tied to 1C in their work: more than 23% of IT vacancies are associated with 1C, and, among programmers, 1C programmers are the most popular (more than 52% of vacancies).
