IMPORTANT DATES FOR HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENDERS

June 14, 2018, USUE rector Yakov Silin took part in the conference "Constitutional Rights and Freedoms of a Man and Citizen: Regulation and Protection."

The event was devoted to two anniversary dates: the 100th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the RSFSR and the 25th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.   Another significant date of this year   was the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The main speakers were the Human Rights Ombudsman in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova and the Human Rights Ombudsman of the Sverdlovsk Region Tatyana Merzlyakova. The conference was arranged with the support of the Governor and the Legislative Assembly of the Sverdlovsk region.

The Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, Tatyana Moskalkova, stressed the close interrelationship between the two Constitutions, which declared extremely important guarantees not only for the rights and for freedoms of a man and a citizen, but also for the very existence of the individual. The analysis of these documents allows us to conclude that the Constitution-based development of state and legal system, as well as the law-enforcement practice of modern Russia, rely on deep democratic domestic and world traditions.

Ural State University of Economics for many years has been leading in training future managers, including specialists in the field of legal support for state and municipal bodies, using innovative information technologies. Therefore, close cooperation of the university administration with the Sverdlovsk region Administration allows improving the quality of students' training   focused on   practice and modern trends of the legal sphere.
