USUE held the first all-Russia Economic Dictation
Today, 200 people checked their economic literacy at USUE. These are senior school students, colleges and universities students, and residents of Yekaterinburg.
The main goal of the dictation, organized by the Free Economic Society of Russia, is the definition and improvement of the level of economic literacy of Russian population. The theme of dictation-2017 is «Strong Economy Means Prosperous Russia!»
The dictation in the form of tests is taking place today at 848 sites throughout Russia and in Sverdlovsk Oblast, it is held only at USUE. All the participants were welcomed and wished success by the Vice-Rector for Social Work Roman Krasnov.
«We hope that the dictation will become a traditional event. I, as a Doctor of Economic Sciences, can say that without preparation one would not answer some questions. They are both theoretical and practical,» said Vice-Rector for Research Elena Dvoryadkina.
Each participant will find out his or her results through the identification number before October 25, 2017, on the website of the Free Economic Society of Russia and USUE website. School senior and students who have scored more than 80 points will be invited to participate in the final of the all-Russia project «Festival of Economic Science». According to the president of the VEO Sergei Bodrunov, chairman of the organizing committee of the all-Russia economic dictation, it could result in taking the decision on holding All-Russian Olympiad in economics, which winners would have a preference for admission to universities.
USUE as the leading economic university in the region is ready to carry out such dictations in future.
