All-Russian economic dictation will be held on October 11
October 11, the national educational event “All-Russian Economic Dictation” will take place for the seventh time in all regions of our country. Participants will test their financial literacy in face-to-face and remote formats. USUE will again become the main platform for this event for residents and guests of the Sverdlovsk region.
The theme of the economic dictation in 2023 is “Strong economy - prosperous Russia!” Residents of all regions of our country, from Chukotka to Kaliningrad, from Murmansk to Makhachkala, will again take part in the event. The economic dictation-2023 will be written not only by students but also by teachers, university professors, specialists, experts, business representatives, government and public figures.
In 2023, the assignments are traditionally compiled for two categories of dictation participants: for 9 -11-grade students of secondary general and vocational schools and for university students and all comers. The economic dictation is devoted to matters of the economic history of our country, memorable historical and economic dates, as well as the main modern economic processes, and, most importantly, to the practical issues of economic life that each of us faces, since the main goal of the action is to arouse interest in economic science and the current economic agenda, to show that economic knowledge is necessary for everyone to make daily decisions.
The assignments will include questions selected by the methodological commission based on the results of the “Best Question for All-Russian Economic Dictation-2023” competition, held among university students.
Everyone who wrote the economic dictation will receive a certificate of participation in the action. Participants who score 90 points or more will be awarded a diploma as the winner of the All-Russian Economic Dictation.
The All-Russian Economic Dictation is organized by the Free Economic Society of Russia with the participation of the International Union of Economists. The event’s partners are Yuri Luzhkov Foundation, Russian Historical Society, leading universities in Russia, administrations of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, and institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The event was first held in 2017 and since then has significantly increased its geography and number of participants. For many people, to write an economic dictation in October has become a tradition. Last year, 234 572 persons from 89 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as 8 neighboring countries, took part in the event.
Every year, based on the results of the action, an analytical report is compiled, which can show the level of economic literacy of the population of Russia as a whole and in its regions. In addition, practical recommendations are developed on what aspects should be taken into account in economic education.
