USUE will share experts with TASS
The USUE Rector Yakov Silin and the director of the Ural Regional information center (RIC) of TASS Maria Kartuz signed the agreement on cooperation between the University and TASS news agency.
The document provides for informing ITAR-TASS journalists about the achievements of the University in various fields of activity, as well as about holding international and federal forums, conferences and other events. According to the agreement, the Agency will carry out information support for the activities of USUE through its communication channels.
Within the framework of cooperation, joint exhibitions, congresses, symposiums, and press conferences are planned to be held both at the News Agency and at other venues. The main goal of signing the agreement will be informing the public about the most important events taking place at USUE. First of all, this concerns the development of science and education at the University.
“The University is ready to send its experts from among the faculty members for participation in press conferences and other TASS events. These people are able not only to professionally comment and evaluate various events in the socio-economic and political life of the country but also to influence the mood of society. Their competent vision of a problem will help to warn citizens against errors and will teach them how to act in a particular situation. The University has a strong scientific school: more than 50 doctors and 225 candidates of sciences. All this gives us the right to deliver expert opinions for the purpose of objective informing the public. I am sure that by joining the efforts of the leading economic university of the Urals area and Siberia and the credible information agency of Russia, we will take a serious step in this direction," Yakov Silin said.
According to the director of the TASS Ural RIC, Maria Kartuz, when covering events of public interest, the Agency always needs an assessment from the economic point of view. In this part, Ural State University of Economics can provide invaluable assistance to journalists of the Agency.
