Ural State University of Economics has become a meeting place of international economic elite. The grand opening of the X EEYF “Russia-Asia-Africa-Latin America: the Economy of Mutual Trust” took place. The forum is attended by over 3,500 people from 72 countries of the world and 70 regions of Russia, by representatives of 126 universities from around the world, 365 experts, and 17 heads of diplomatic missions of foreign countries in Russia.
USUE received guests from Côte dʻIvoire, Rwanda, Gabon, Senegal, Chad, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Benin, South Africa, Vietnam, Iraq, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Ecuador, Bolivia, Nicaragua, and the CIS countries.
The opening ceremony began with a colorful parade of flags and a performance by the USUE vocal studio.
USUE rector Yakov Silin addressed the audience with a welcoming speech: “Traditionally, the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum gathers an authoritative and competent audience: scientists, researchers, and teachers, representatives of business communities, government bodies, and students. It is the trust that determines prospects and stability of the development of any state. The key mission of the forum is to strengthen trust between countries, expand their cooperation in education, culture, science, and technologies, and to break down barriers in communication between people. Mutual trust is always the basis of progress, friendship, and development.”
