WorldSkills-2017: Strategy of Staffing of Defense Industry Enterprises

Today there was the roundtable "Strategy of Staffing of Defense Industry Enterprises", where representatives of large production complexes and educators discussed the formation and development of the personnel policy of defense enterprises. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Education of the Sverdlovsk region Yuri Biktuganov. At the roundtable, Ural State University of Economics was represented by Alla Golovina, director of the USUE School of Corporate Education, Valery Dubrovsky, director of the USUE Institute of Economics, and Svetlana Dolzhenko, head of the Human Resources Department.

Yuri Biktuganov in his welcoming speech offered to identify the existing problems in specialists training and outline possible ways to address them, "If we show the level at which today specialists are being trained, many will not be satisfied with this. This work should be built taking into account the competencies necessary for successful work".

The participants of the roundtable discussed the topics of specialists’ systemic training, training of professionals for the system of secondary and higher education, and the development of the Ural Engineering School.

Alla Golovina told about USUE experience in the organization of corporate education at Uralvagonzavod, "Large universities are focused to train bachelors and masters, i.e. school leavers. The corporate education has a different nature. Corporate education programs require co-creation and co-operation. If there is the motivation from both parties, a program will do."

Svetlana Dolzhenko told about the preparation of the professional standard "Labor Economics" and about the difficulties that had arisen in the course of working on it. Deputy General Director for Personnel of M. I. Kalinin Machine-Building Plant Sergey Svinin commented Svetlana Dolzhenko’s speech, "It is of great significance that two leading universities are engaged in work with businesses."

During the roundtable, the participants revealed problems and shared their experience in training personnel for defense enterprises.
