Regulatory documentation on training students with health limitations and disability

Ural State University of Economics does not forget about the needs of people with disabilities. Creation of favorable conditions for all students, teachers and employees is one of the priority directions of the University's improvement. The staff sets a goal to create a comfortable environment for everyone to study, communicate and socialize.

USUE students have long been engaged in the development of projects aimed at improving the lives of others. So, for example, Yuri Itunin developed a project of a robot-prompter to help actors learn and memorize their roles. In 2016, the project won in the II regional competition in the field of entrepreneurship "Youth Plans Business”. The project can be called a social one because the program implements opportunities for people with impaired vision or total loss of sight, for people with hearing impairment, for those who cannot participate in rehearsals, and with other physical disabilities.

In 2017, two students of the University - Marina Marchenko and Valeria Akzhigitova - are delegated to the First World Congress for Persons with Disabilities. The girls will represent the interests of USUE students with limited health opportunities, as well as share their achievements in studies and public life of the University.

The University is preparing the participants of the National Championship of the Sverdlovsk region Abilympics among the disabled. Yury Itunin, a USUE graduate, for the first time will take part in the championship in the competence "Programming".

It should be noted that the Organizational Committee of the Abilympics Championship in the Sverdlovsk region has appointed main experts for the tournament in this competence. Among the experts from Ural State University of Economics are the chair of the Department of Business Informatics Dmitry Nazarov, Assistant Professor Elena Butsenko, and senior lecturer Svetlana Begicheva.

Elena Butsenko is currently taking courses of skills improvement at Russian State Social University (Moscow) to ensure the quality of the participants' preparation and organization of the Abilympics Championship.
