Director of the USUE Institute of Finance and Law Maxim Maramygin about the forecast of socio-economic development of Russia until 2018

At the meeting of the Federation Council within the «Government Hour», the Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin presented the forecast of the socio-economic development of the Russian Federation for 2018 and for the planned period of 2019 and 2020.

Maxim MARAMYGIN, director of the USUE Institute of Finance and Law:

— The Minister spoke in the sense of digitization of the economy, about which the President of the Russian Federation says. It is necessary to invest into the staff. To solve the problem, it is necessary to ensure the inflow of young specialists into education. Today, the teacher’s work, unfortunately, is poor-paid, and the lion’s share of teachers’ work has nothing to do with education. It is necessary to free a teacher from heaps of paperwork and decrease teaching loads. A professor at a European university has 240-400 hours a year. With such a load, there is time to engage in science and to do research for industry. Our standard is 900 hours per year. At the same time, many professors have need to increase it by half. With such a teaching load, there is neither time for science nor for life.
